Conviction without
closing the conversation.

Dangerous Doctrine Press is a Christian academic publisher with a primary focus on ebooks from emerging and aspiring authors.

Why this press exists

Some questions ask more of us than a familiar answer. We believe Christian publishing should make room for careful study, difficult passages, and writers whose strongest work is still ahead of them.

Our publishing interests sit at the meeting point of biblical studies, theology, and Christian thought. We want books that invite readers into the argument: clear enough to follow, substantial enough to revisit, and honest about the limits of their conclusions.

Digital publishing helps those conversations travel. An ebook can place a new voice in a reader’s hands without asking the reader to belong to a particular institution or already know the specialist vocabulary.

What guides the work

Faith with intellectual honesty.

Christian conviction and careful reasoning belong together. A compelling conclusion should never depend on hiding evidence or overstating certainty.

Sources before spectacle.

Distinguish what a biblical text says, what historical evidence supports, how an author interprets it, and where speculation begins.

Fairness toward disagreement.

Present competing interpretations in terms their advocates could recognize. Readers deserve to see why an argument is persuasive, and where it can be challenged.

A place for emerging voices.

Aspiring authors deserve a serious way to develop a book. The strength of a proposal begins with its argument, audience, and care with the material.

Why “Dangerous Doctrine”?

The name invites a question: what happens when honest inquiry unsettles a comfortable assumption? We use it as an invitation to examine ideas carefully, with Christian faith and love of neighbor at the center.

Provocation alone is not an argument. The work is to read, question, reason, and write responsibly.
